MIXC CHANGCHUN

This facility is located in one of the most developed commercial and business districts of Changchun. It was designed not merely as a shopping center, but as a landmark of urban development in the city. The planning centered around symbolic spaces, which are connected by a circulation path designed to provide a constantly evolving shopping experience. Distinctive features include visually striking areas that are noticeable from the outside, a spacious and high-ceilinged entrance hall immediately upon entry, and a second large atrium space that appears along the route. Each zone is given a unique character to highlight the different spaces. Throughout the entire facility, the design seeks to harmonize “modernity” and “luxury” While emphasizing the individuality of each symbolic space, the project aimed to achieve overall harmony as a single facility through research into new materials and repeated trial and error, ultimately bringing the design to completion.
