Directly connected to Shanghai South Station, the Shanghai Xuhui Vanke Center is a large-scale mixed-use development designed as an “urban park,” offering visitors a new and inspiring city experience.
The commercial zone adopts the Japanese garden philosophy Teioku Ichinyo—the harmony of architecture and nature—to create a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor spaces. Embracing minimalism as the ultimate form of luxury, the design focuses on pure forms, essential composition, and carefully selected natural materials, achieving a refined and timeless atmosphere.
Light cascading through the atrium, flowing circulation, and vertically connected escalators encourage visitors to look upward and engage with the surrounding openness. At its core, a “VOID” space themed around light, earth, and water reinterprets natural elements to form a symbolic and distinctive centerpiece for the entire facility.
